EcoFasten Solar is a division of Vermont Slate & Copper Services, Inc. Originally a slate roof contracting company, EcoFastenSolar and its sister company Alpine SnowGuards grew out a need for quality rooftop products. Recognizing the need for a watertight roof mount to attach racks, PV, signs, stove pipes, just about anything to roofs without compromising the integrity of those roofs, Brian Stearns the president of EcoFasten Solar started working on the original Eco-Fasten universal roof mount.

The patented base plates used for Eco-Fasten and Quik-Foot use the same technology to form a universal attachment point and water-tight seal as Alpine SnowGuards' snow retention systems that have been installed on thousands of roofs over the years.
